Eleven mincing steps away from where
she'd landed Mathéa found herself amused
by climbing a giant mushroom.
Almost at the top, she stretched herself over to tip-toes
to be able to get a wider view.
And as she did, she saw a giant caterpillar nibbling
on purple berries that seemed to grow out of the
mushroom's hat.
For every bite the caterpillar took, the purple berry
seemed to make a sound! It wasn't a sound of agony,
that was for sure. No, it was rather more like the
cland of a piano, different for each bit.
