Snazzy Boots and the Last Chapter of Proverbs
Blog post from SoclogHere I go again! I am uploading yet another pair of shoes, and another chapter of Proverbs. I know, I know! April is over, why continue with my challenge of April? Well, there is only one chapter of Proverbs left, and leaving that one chapter out felt - well, plain dumb. So I have decided to upload it. And good was that! It sure did encourage me, and it just might encourage you! read at my BDB.
So, shoe pair of the day! (even though it technically is the day after, but ANYWAYS: who really gives a fudge?)
SHOE PAIR #31
Okay, I have had these since I was like 13 or 14 years old. My auntie was visiting in Sweden, and she got me these when we went shopping for some food or something. Haha. I know, random. But we went downstairs to get something, and downstairs is where the clothes and shoes are. So, they were on sale and my auntie got them for me, after me asking, I think my mother, she ended up paying instead. And I sure did use them, I felt so grown-up. Haha. They are just a little to big for me, but that is alright, at least they don't kill my feet.
I think it was the year that my auntie and her friend came over to spend Christmas with us that she got me these. Haha. We took them out downhill skiing, dang - that was not too good of an idea. Although, it is pretty funny to think back at. I will remember it forever. Neither of the girls knew how to skii downhill, and they both crashed so hard. One of them actually got injured so she couldn't walk, and believe me - that is not funny. I felt so bad about it. Gah. Now it doesn't seem like that good of a story anymore. Changing the subject.
I remember going to a church with my uncle, sister, mother and father and my dad's mother, I think it was some kinda Christmas service. Or New Years, I am not sure. But it must have been something like that, my uncle wouldn't go to church for any other reason that a big event like that where the whole family goes. Anyways, we were sitting and talking, and I was having one of my feet up on my knee, and my uncle and sister kinda like ganged up on me saying that they were the "Sneakers-People" and that is the way to roll. They actually made me want to wear sneakers instead, but I don't regret being the odd one with awesome boots. At least I don't look like everyone else. No matter what the crowd says about how to roll.
I also liked how my heels would click against the floor while walking. It made me wanna tap dance, haha.
Well, I am sore now. And tired. So I am going to take a shower and get to bed. I have work in the morning. Blah. Don't feel like doing anything. Oh wells.
You have a good one!
