You gradually put your guard down after being hurt once by love. When you've finally opened the door to your heart for someone to become part of, you willingly make yourself vulnerable to that unbearable pain once again. You do this because of the love and trust you have for this person who brings light into your eyes that has been missing for some time. Then, without seeing it happen, this person turns love into a poison that makes your body and mind completely shut down. Days become dark and long with no desire to get out of bed. You regret ever opening that door to your heart and you ask yourself how you could ever open in again. You've been cut by love once again, and the scar will never fade
