Actually it depends on what you mean by "HTML5 video" - there is no longer a definition in the RFC as to what codecs should be supported, and many videos being posted to HTML5 sites at the moment use Google's "WebM" format - although Adobe have confirmed future support for this codec in Flash

Yes, as long as you have Adobe Reader installed. It looks like once you disable Chrome's default PDF reader, it will use Adobe Reader by default, which will give you all available options in the standalone reader. I want to assume it's the same for all browsers, but a bit of Google Foo would tell you. Source:

Playing Videos in HTML. Before HTML5, a video could only be played in a browser with a plug-in (like flash). The HTML5 <video> element specifies a standard way to embed a video in a web page.
