10 Feb 2009 That's why in a normal, one-column document the top and bottom margins appear pink and the left and right margins appear purple—because the column guides are overlapping the margin guides. If you wish, you can change the guide colors in the Guides panel of the Preferences dialog box.

Hi, I would like to adjust the margins in my master pages and apply them to the rest of the document. My trouble is with doing the formerwhen I try to drag the margins over on the master pages (InDesign CS5 by the way) it doesn't change the margin guides, but it does create a dotted line border.
