When part of Gotham is turned into a private reserve for criminals known as Arkham City, all hell is sure to break loose, and the Dark Knight is the only one who can stop it.
Bruce Wayne is taken captive within the facility of Arkham City, a prison built in the abandoned part of Gotham City. After the prison, ran by the mad psychiatrist Hugo Strange, becomes a war zone between his greatest enemies, Bruce must stop everyone who stands in his way as the Batman.

If you ever wanted to feel like Batman in a VG - "Batman: Arkham City" (2011) is a place to land. This is a great game. I just beat it recently on a PS4 remastered version. Its a glorious game from a get go.
There a tons of things to do in this game. Great story (maybe a bit rushed here and there), great side missions, amazing game play, open world, very good graphics (even for this day standards), and a tons of (did i say a Tons?) of Riddle trophies. I picked up 200 of them - there just insane amount of them if you want to spend an interesting time in this city after the credits will start to roll.
Overall, "Batman: Arkham City" is simply amazing. I loved the first game, loved second one as well and i will definitely will pick up last installment in this probably the best superhero games series ever made. Amazing game.
Aah the sequel, where they strengthen the flaws of the original. I played the original Arkham game and I enjoyed it. I mean it was really fun but I feel the story should have been stronger and the open world game map offered very little, that might be nitpicking but I don't care. Why? Because this one is better in every single aspect.
The plot to this game is that Bruce Wayne is kidnapped by Hugo Strange and released in a section of Gotham, now turned into a gigantic prison. You find out he's been planning something called Protocol 10 and while running around trying to stop him (and encountering what I assume is EVERY Batman villain) you get a poisonous disease that is killing The Joker so you have to race against the clock before you die or Protocol 10 is activated.
In this game you have everything, Behind the Theater you find there will be the scene of Batman's Parent's death. That is pure gold to insert into a video game, because that is icing on the cake of a good story. The story is slightly better than Arkham Asylum, if there is any nitpick against it - I'd say at the end there are too many twists.
The challenges would be worth the price of this game alone. You can choose the character, costumes and whether you want to stealthily take out bad guys or... Taking out bad guys by eating them up. Which might tell you the gameplay is exactly the same as Arkham Asylum, only if 2 people are about to hit you and you block - you block both of their attacks.
So if you think Superhero games aren't worth it - check this one out. The story is great, the game offers an even bigger open world environment (and meeting Bane Zsasz and The Riddler to name a few), The gameplay is perfect for a beat-em-up and if you can find the spot - you will find a lot of depth to Batman. I'm still playing it, even though I have completed the story and that's because everything about this game is still so fun. To have an open world game continue to hold my interest after I've done everything is very difficult so I'll give extra points there.
Wonder Tower can be accessed, but not the same way. In order to reach it, you have to get up the tower as high as possible, then start launching freeze grenades until Batman starts rising in the air. Soon, you'll be prompted to use the grapnel, grapple up to one of the gargoyles and you can go inside. There's nothing in there, not even Strange's corpse. His little office cannot be accessed.The Clown Prince of Crime meets his demise after the final battle with Clayface.Hugo Strange, Talia al Ghul, Ra's al Ghul (though his body goes missing), Solomon Grundy, Clayface and The Joker, plus hundreds of inmates in Protocol 10 a5c7b9f00b
