Olympus 35 RC or Canon Canonet QL17 GIII The Olympus comes with a battery adapter so batteries won't be a problem for that. The Canonet is actually listed on Mudah so I'm a liiittle more apprehensive about it. I live in Sarawak, so I won't be able to check them in person. Both sellers say that the meters
5 Sep 2016 i was looking into these tiny camera's as the overall opinions seem quite good the rollei (130$) had the lightmeter replaced recently and de olympus (50$) has a the battery lip off but that schould be solved with a little bit of soldering. I read alot about the canonet ql17 gIII that its very good camera, very sharp
The 35RD was introduced in 1974, and was was the last 'classic' fully manual mechanical shutter fixed-lens rangefinder to be introduced by Olympus. This is true for most of the classic fast rangefinders of this era, such as the Canon QL17 GIII, the Yashica Electro 35, and my available light secret weapon, the Yashica
23 Mar 2011 I've been thinking of getting either one of these cameras the canon canonet 17,olympus trip 35 or olympus 35 rd as i've just started my interest in shooting film again. .. IMHO opinion the ql17 is not a good street rangefinder because it's difficult to use in manual mode so zone and hyperfocusing is out.
14 Feb 2018 Alas, Olympus came up a few yards short. By 1975, most professional shooters had moved to SLR systems and the RD didn't present any significant advances that hadn't been seen in years prior from the likes of the Canonet QL17 and Minolta's Hi-Matic 7sii. Suffering a similar fate as the OM-3Ti,
Canonet QL17 GIII and the Olympus 35 SP as the best candidates. have less manual control than with the canon or the konica. Actually, I never owned an Olympus 35 SP/RC/RD or the like. But I've tested those three cameras and they are very nice. Then I got a QL17 GIII very cheap, and so I stopped
25 Jan 2015 The Olympus 35mm fixed-len rangefinder cameras feature both a semi or full auto mode and full manual override capabilities. . contemporary competitors to the Olympus 35RD that have nearly the same features: Canonet QL17 GIII as a best buy; Minolta HiMatic 7SII; Konica S3 for its outstanding lens.
10 Jan 2006 The Canonet is a great camera but I settled on the combination of the Olympus XA and the Minolta 7s for a couple of reasons. You can use a hearing aid battery, size 675, 1.4 V, or an alkaline cell, size 625, 1.5 V. You'll have to try a few rolls under different lighting conditions to see if the voltage difference
I'm not going to bother even putting a battery in mine since the Canonet does not meter in manual mode, though the Olympus 35 SP does. . I have a Canonet GIII QL17, two Olympus 35SP, Olympus Pen FT (but you're not asking about half-frames), Canon A35F, and some others that I don't use.
4 Aug 2014 Olmypus 35 RD/SP Canonet ql17. Hi-matic 7sII. Konica auto s3. Revue 400se. Which one is better olympus rd or sp? And wich one of them all is better to buy? A Canonet QL 17 GIII is one of the better fixed-lens 35mm cameras for fully manual photography - no batteries necessary either. Keep in mind
