1 Jul 1995 Guided By Voices have completed the follow-up to Alien Lanes,. their most recent (and very excellent) album. Titled Under the. Bushes, Under the Stars, the upcoming album includes three. tracks--"He's the Uncle," "Sheet Kickers" and "It's Like Soul Man"--. produced by the controversial Steve Albini
Songs here are harvested from two aborted sessions recorded with Steve Albini and then Kim Deal. After demoing a number of songs in Kim Deal's basement the band set off to record with Albini, resulting in seven songs. Bob wasn't happy with the results, particularly the vocals, and 're-mixed' them through the 4-track.
