After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
I don't know where to start, everything seems off balance. Slow pace, terrible writing, very little action (in a superhero show?), not very good acting... The biggest failure of this season is definitely the whole character, personality and hideous performance of Mariah Dillard - probably the most annoying character in the history of TV shows. A character that has probably more screen time throughout the season then LC. Not sure who's idea was that. The only thing I was looking forward watching this season is to end as soon as possible. The only good things about this season are a part of Bushmaster's story arc and the music. If you have seen your fill of women without any powers being the main protagonists in most of superhero TV shows, I suggest you skip this one.
The first season was amazing. One of the best things I've ever watched, on the level of Sopranos, Breaking Bad and all those great shows. But the second season, first episode, SHADES TOGETHER WITH THAT OLD UGLY HAG???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY???????!!!!!????? I signed off.. and I never want to watch something as disgusting like that ever again!
