Aug 8, 2015 All applicants must obtain a Vieux Carre Commission (VCC) permit as well as all other necessary City permits prior to proceeding with any work. Reviewing and becoming familiar with these Guidelines during the early stages of a project can assist in moving a project quickly through the permit approval.

In rare occasions, you may need to access a retired VCC when identifying a primary or additional offense for sentencing guidelines.
Aug 12, 2016 The VCC recently won the “Commission Excellence" award from the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, and the new document, “Design Guidelines for the Vieux Carre Historic District," was described as “an exemplar for providing clear, concise, comprehensive and effective information.".
