Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Since the beginning of time there has been a mutant named Apocalypse who has incredible powers. After being resurrected Apocalypse emerges and seeks out to destroy the world with the help of four evil followers. As students at Professor X's School for the Gifted Charles Xavier and his students must defeat Apocalypse before he rules the world. Can they defeat Apocalypse or will he take over the world?
I was very afraid of this film. I read a couple of critics about it and they said that this is the worst film of Bryan Singer's carrier and the worst x-men movie of all time. The critics were partly right.
Probably the worst thing in X-men: Apocalypse is it's extremely slow beginning. When you watch a superhero movie, you expect non-stop action, like in this year's Captain America: Civil War and in the new x-men trilogy: X-men: First Class and X-men: Days of Future Past. The beginning is extremely slow paced, there is only that much action such as in Thomas Alfredson's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and in Terrence Mallick's The New World. The acting is awful. Jennifer Lawrence and Oscar Isaac are look quite untalented in this film. Bryan Singer is a great director (if you won't believe it watch The Usual Suspects or Valkyrie) but he missed the point with this movie.
Although there are some good points in X-men: Apocalypse. The scene where Quicksilver save almost everyone from a collapsing building is amazing. Evan Peters really did a great a job. The visual effects are stunning, especially in 3D. Unfortunately, we only get a bit of it in the end fighting scene. Finally, there is a very good cameo from Hugh Jackman.
It's sad that Marvel financed this movie a lot more than Deadpool. The worst thing is the action-shortage in it. You can watch it, but it's definitely not worth the price of a cinema ticket.

Actually I watched every parts of this movie and this movie I watched in 3d in cinema that's why action in this movie look so good but when they started show all those character than the feeling of x-men 1 came same character they are showing just actor they changed except wolverine I think everyone is changed, they showed Xavier school where every mutant establishing their ability just as in first three x-men but there is only one thing they came up with new is villain. So, movie starts with the old time around 3000b.c. when one mutant trying to become immortal for that they having ceremony in between that humans interrupted the ceremony and every mutant got killed except this than he gone for long sleep. When he woke up after long sleep he started to control as many mutants as possible. So, some of mutants started working under him some are not. Forcefully he trying to kill or control every human that is why some of the mutant are against him. So, they fight and saved the entire human by that villain. After watching this movie I think there is little bit of repetition in this movie and upcoming parts of this movies series may have lots of repetition let's see how they come up with new idea. Although this movie story is so-so but the action is great as always if you are true fan of this movie series you should watch this movie.
Apocalypse, for all its faults, has the audacity to make the MCU look small, and the conviction to make the DCU — if there even is such a thing — look foolish for confusing self-seriousness with gravity. If only these characters were allowed to be as complex as the ideas they fight for, Apocalypse could have represented a new beginning for superhero cinema.
One can say both. X-Men: Apocalypse is a reboot as it takes place in a reset timeline due to the events of the previous film X-Men: Days of Future Past. The timeline goes back to the origins of the mutants with younger versions of the X-Men. It is also a sequel due to taking place after the main events in Days of Future Past, which took place in the 1970s and most of the cast of First Class and Days of Future Past have returned. No. Shortly before the film movie was released, Bryan Singer announced that X-Men: Apocalypse and the then-upcoming third Wolverine film (Hugh Jackman's last role as Wolverine) would be the final chapters of his X-Men film franchise. However, the studio had a number of other films planned. Among them, It is rumoured that one is or would be titled "X-Force". It is uncertain if the film will be canon and will be apart of the cinematic X-Men universe. Though rumour has it the film after the next will be set in the 1990s, with the current cast. So, perhaps Bryan Singer will step down as director if the series continues. Yes, there is. He does indeed lose his hair near the end of the film, so the film's poster is truthful in a sense even if slightly misleading. Excluding ones that came out after Apocalypse, there are nine: X-Men (2000), X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverwine (2009), X: First Class (2011), The Wolverine (2013), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Deadpool (2016) and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). a5c7b9f00b
