A group of veterans wake up after a night of partying to find out that the zombie apocalypse has spread across the United States. Together, they must fight their way across the country in order to find a cure for the outbreak and restore freedom before it's too late.
After a night of debauchery, five military buddies wake up in the drunk tank only to find out that while they were passed out in their cell, the zombie apocalypse kicked off. Armed only with billy clubs and their military experience, they break out of prison and fight their way to their old base. Along the way, they pick up a whole lot of weapons, a couple of damsels in distress, and accidentally, the cure. They woke up that morning fighting hangovers. Now the fate of the world hangs over their ability to fight.
I went to the movie last night in Eau Claire, and I can honestly say it was the best movie this year. Yeah it's dark and gritty, but I laughed so goddamn hard I thought I might die. The characters and their antics in this movie are extremely exaggerated, but that only added to the gutbusting comedy. On top of that, it was awesome to see all these vets come together and turn this crazy idea into a flesh-and-blood film (especially one where the uniforms, medals, and other minor details are actually accurate). Aside from the comedy, this film was stuffed to the rafters with big name stars who love this country and wanted to see that a movie made for veterans by veterans got it's chance to reach audiences
Big thanks to all the guys and gals at Ranger Up and Article 15 who made this kickass movie possible. The post-credits scenes were also a great addition, and as someone who is going to boot camp next week, it made me proud to be joining the family. Thanks for the awesome movie, guys! HOOYAH!!!
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I mean painfully funny. Rude, crude, vulgar and hilarious. If you were a Bernie supporter pass. The 1st review I saw on this page I'm afraid has some snowflake issues.The cast is mostly made-up of ex-special forces. Marcus Luttrell and two M.O.H. recipients are in the film. To be honest if you're looking for a grade "A" film with anything remotely socially redeemable pass on it. If you have a crude, rude, "military" sense of humor this is Citizen Kane.
