12 Aug 2014 Not sure with the Mustang, but with other vehicles, the wiring harness to the ECU can be different (more/less wiring and pins to/from the ECU) on an automatic and manual transmission. My son did this conversion on a Toyota 4x4 4runner. The ECU's on the year range he did this on used a different one
