The Joker has escaped from Arkham and Batman must once again bring him in - once and for all. Unfortunately for the bat, there is something even more sinister than the Joker waiting in the alley for the dark knight detective..
Life isn't fair. The Joker escapes from Arkham Asylum. Bruce Wayne puts on his Batman suit, mask, and cape, and goes in pursuit. He's soon found the Joker and begins a fight to subdue the red-eyed, sneering villain. Then, suddenly, things take a surprising turn: the Joker becomes the least of Batman's worries. New enemies appear: it's as if he's found himself in another set of comic books. Can he hold his own?
Batman: Dead End is a short movie made by Sandy Collora, the movie is very impressive for a quick short movie and is very good. It's based on the comic books Batman/Aliens and Batman Vs Predator, the costumes in this movie are cool. The Batman costume is good, the Predator and the Alien suits look authentic and great. The special effects such as the predator vision and shoulder cannon is cool and looks good.
The film sees Batman searching for the Joker who's escaped from the asylum, after confronting him the Joker is suddenly attacked by a Xenomorph. Suddenly an Alien creeps up behind and Batman fights it, the Alien gets killed by the Predator and soon Batman finds himself in a dangerous battle against the ultimate hunter.
Batman: Dead End is a great short movie that should be seen. Check this out, one website you can see this on is Youtube. 10/10
Batman: Dead End does a really good job of showing what Sandy Collora could be capable of given sufficient resources - visual atmosphere and choreographing action, principally: this short looks really good and comes close to putting a convincing Batman from the comics into the real world (as opposed to the Burton cycle, which featured a comics world, the the Nolan films which feature a real-world Batman).
It also provides clear evidence that Batman doesn't need sculpted body armour to succeed on screen, and that Joker makeup can be more effective than any other version seen on screen (and I liked the late Andrew Koenig's nod to Mark Hamill's vocal characterisation).
Apart from that, there really isn't anything else here. This is Collora's calling card, and a good one, but nothing else.
