In the movie "Ben Barber" played by Hart also shows courage and determination to make it through the police academy so he could make something of himself. Powerful message depicted of setting a goal and aiming high to achieve it! "James Payton" played by Ice Cube and people like him in society really need to give people more credit for their worthiness in the workplace and in general. See the good in people! If you want to see a move with hilarious comedy combined with action, this is definitely a great movie for you. I think the entire cast had great chemistry which makes any film flow nicely! I give it a cinema score of 9/10 and would recommend going to view it! Hart has been accepted at a police academy which he thinks will impress his girlfriend and her brother. He lives with Tika Sumpter whose brother Ice Cube is a determined and mean cop who tends to be a lone wolf. He challenges Hart to ride along with him to see if he can survive a day on the job. Things start off a bit rocky as they encounter nuisance call outs but Ice Cube has been hunting for some Serbs which might lead him to a notorious criminal called Omar and both find clues throughout the day which might lead them nearer to their prey. Ice Cube and Hart give this comedy/drama a valiant attempt and they have a good chemistry along with Sumpter. They name check Training Day and it is not that far from being a comedy variant of that film. Its just the film is a little predictable. You kind of guess that some of the cops will be dirty and Omar is likely to be the big named star who is still to show up in the film. The comedy is not that big on laughs, more mildly amusing. A film that will pass the time and will be instantly forgettable.
