Myphotodiary takes a new name - Dayviews!
Since 2004, more than 1 million people keep their memories and thoughts through photos here and we can call ourselves the largest social tools for photos. We think we can do better, and that there are many more who want to remember their moments and everyday delights through photos.
Myphotodiary, along with other names on the site and entrances to it, will all be called Dayviews. In order to grow, to meet new demands from the new ways the website is being used, and take our tool several steps forward, the name change is necessary. We feel that you members have signaled that the word "diary" is rather more suiting for younger people. Young people are of course welcome here, but more than 600 000 of our members are 18 years or older and perhaps the word "diary" isn't really spot on if we wish to grow and reach new and more mature audiences
Again, we want to have the opportunity to grow. The Internet is bigger than Sweden. To reach as many people as possible we choose a name in English, a .com address and we will improve the translation of the website.
2 May 2011, at 2 :00PM CET we're officially changing our name and you'll find us through http://dayviews.com/ In essence, nothing but the name and the logo will change. The old addresses will continue to work exactly as before. However, it will lead to more active members, better prizes in competitions and fun events on the site!
If you are extra curious, feel free to read the editor's thoughts on the name change (Written in Swedish): http://dayviews.com/Lightspeed/488918675/

The site needs more active marketing to gain a global spread of users, until then it will remain a swedish based site only.

Är de så dåliga att de inte kan göra en svensk version - dvs samma sida fast allt står på svenska? Kolla bara på facebook.

Inget ont i att göra sidan mer tillgänglig för utländska användare, men Dayviews är ett otroligt dåligt namn.

I like the new name a lot more, more catchy. As usual it will take some time for people to get used to it though.
