A government trained assassin in life, A vengeful hellspawn in death. Brought back from the dead to join Hell's army and release his carnage on anyone that may get in his way. Heaven and Hell battle for his already torn soul, while he wanders the alleys protecting the innocent and destroying the corrupt who disrupt the lives of the innocent. In the meantime he faces the tragedy of his death and the fact that he has been sent to Hell and he must also face the reality of losing his wife to an old friend.
After being betrayed and murdered by his employer, a government trained assassin named, Al Simmons, is resurrected as a Hellspawn and is forced to become the reluctant leader of Hell's army.
OK, right to the point: Spawn 2 is a graphic depiction of all that is Spawn. Remember the first season? That was a classic, is what it was. Not a whole lot of gore, but enough. Spawn 2 is over the top with everything: Adult situations, graphic violence, strong language, extreme gore and nudity. I don't remember Spawn with nudity, do you? The movie is really cool, but could attract a better audience if it was just the following: Violence and some language. Same with the first. Good side is, the have an edited version, but I think it's best to stick with what the edited version is. Spawn 2, let's face it, may be a good show, but doesn't quite fit in with Spawn. "Mature Audiences Only." Why make it like that? OK, to the real point, not just complaining about being "innapropriate": Spawn 2 is an awesome movie. The animation is fantastic, and even though the Clown and Cogliostro are annoying, they are still quite cool. A recommendation.

This is an absolutely fantastic cartoon, the big thing for me is the voice acting, it's flawless and probably some of the best in any cartoon. The storyline is perfect, the atmosphere is dark, mysterious, Gothic and eerie, unlike anything I have seen before. I have heard a lot of bad things about the film and I'm not even going to bother watching it. For those of you who have read the comics and enjoyed them, you need to watch this. You will find yourself saying "Wow" after even the first episode, you will keep wanting more the more you watch this and you need to watch every episode. The voice acting for the clown is absolutely outstanding, and that laugh he does sends a shiver down my spine. Great voice acting, gritty, dark, amazing animation, you need to watch this now!
