Holistic detective Dirk Gently investigates cases involving the supernatural.
Todd Brotzman is having a bad day. His rent is overdue and his landlord is an aggressive, vindictive, destructive man. Then several people are gruesomely murdered in a suite at the hotel he works at and Todd is a prime suspect. When he gets home, he discovers an intruder in his apartment. The intruder is Dirk Gently, holistic detective.
For someone who is prune to liking well thought and gripping TV shows, this comes way below the par, but the rating are way off the chart. I think most of the teenagers would have liked the haphazardness of the show, to a person like me, it was very boring! I got bored by the middle of the first episode, I fast forwarded my way to kind of 3rd episode hoping that something might come out of the show, but that was it.
If you're a fan of series like True Detective, Fargo, The Newsroom, House of Cards, etc. you certain need to rain check this one.
Love this show. So creative, which seems so rare to find on television these days. It has an interesting story, great characters, wonderful actors, and is able to hold your interest. Such a refreshing show in an age where everything seems to be fake reality crap.
