How to set a Sweeney's® Mole Trap. STEP 1-Push down the area over an active tunnel with your fist to reduce tunnel size. STEP 2-Push trap down until the SPEARS are completely in the ground and the ACTIVATOR PLATE is touching the indented area.
Flatten tunnels by walking on them and then wait a day. If the tunnel rises up, it's active. This is where the trap should be placed. When setting a plunger-style mole trap, make sure the spears can move freely through the ground when the trap is triggered.
