A haunted survivor of a catastrophic alien invasion doesn't see an obvious truth when he finds a mute boy in an abandoned warehouse.
Brilliantly and immediately drawn in to the the intense mood of the movie. The filmmakers mastered the suspense and feeling of tension with incredible, dark, post-apocalyptic cinematography and an incredible music score. The lead character is very convincing in his portrayal of a man on the brink of a complete psychological breakdown as images of aliens attack the world. I truly enjoyed the VFX which can sometimes come across as a bit corny and detract from the film. That was not the case here. This 11 minute film is well worth the watch....my only complaint is that it did not break from the intense mood at all. I would like it to be a bit longer and break from the suspense - if even for a minute or so. Otherwise, really enjoyed this short film. Hope to see more.
Population Zero is the latest project by filmmaker Robert Kouba. In his current outing a true fan of his work can see the growth he has experienced in his craft. Population Zero features more actors, locations and running time than many of his previous films. The cast is comprised of favorites from his portfolio of works.
In the distant future after the fall of mankind, and lone survivor finds what he believes is another young survivor.
Children in any horror genre of film give me the creeps. The same can be said for this movie.
The acting, picture and sound are all on par which by now is a regular occurrence for Kouba. Any fan of his previous work will enjoy his latest piece of art.
