Ethernet interfaces are identified by the system using the naming convention of ethX, where X represents a numeric value. The first Ethernet interface is typically identified as eth0, the second as eth1, and all others should move up in numerical order.
Click on IPv4 or IPv6 in the left pane and change the Addresses to Manual. Type in the IP Address and Gateway, as well as the appropriate Netmask. In the DNS section, switch Automatic to OFF. Enter the IP address of a DNS server you want to use.
In that window, click on the "options" button at the bottom right corner and in the window that opens, click on the "IPv4 settings" tab. The window is shown below. Initially the setting is set to "Automatic(dhcp)", which is dynamic IP. To make it static, select the dropdown menu and click on manual as shown in the image below:.
