How dare you treat your customers this way? Sure, argue Dice is just following orders regarding the micro-transactions but why are you releasing the game in such a buggy god damn state? .... Jesus.
Yet that is only the top of this massive pile of dung that is this game and its publisher.
The Good : AMAZING graphics. Superb sound design and cool, although underwhelming singleplayer story. nevertheless it has its moments.
The Bad: Massively unbalanced and pay to win. And thats not just lootboxes. Thats if you F'ing preorder you get a gun thats FAR better than your average gun that the dude who didn't pre-order gotta use for hours and hours as he's being MURDERED....BADLY.
Lets just skip straight to talk about Progression and Loot boxes immediately. So what exactly is this you ask in case you've been away for the past months.
basically the only way to progress in this game is by winning matches, getting currency and buying lootboxes with them which contain emotes, star cards and more.
What are the cards? They are basically unique traits you can add to your specific character or hero to give them very very overpowered benefits like 100 % damage reduction, boosts to survivability and more.
Now, why is this a big problem? Aside from the fact that lootboxes suck and are ruining this industry. YOU CAN BUY THEM WITH REAL MONEY... and thereby making sure you unlock lots of goodies much faster than other people. Whether thats guns, cards or heroes that are locked behind paywalls as well.
A paywall at 60.000 that was decreased 75 % after EA got the achievement of having the MOST down-voted comment on Reddit after replying to the guy discussing this topic about hero unlocking and time requirement ( it was around 40 hours per hero ..... yes you heard that right) to which they replied " It was about pride and accomplishment"
If I had to grind 40 god damn hours to unlock Darth Vader.... I wouldn't feel pride. I'd feel anger and frustration. Because during those 40 hours I would NOT BE ABLE TO BUY NEW GUNS OR UPGRADES BECAUSE I WAS SAVING... WHICH MEANS I'D GET REKT OVER AND OVER BY THOSE WHO BOUGHT THAT.
My god... the sheer nerve of making a system like this takes the meaning of corporatism to the next damn level.
EA can go burn in hell. The company deserves to catch flames for trying to DESPERATELY ( and impressively) to earn the Worst Company in America award for the 3RD TIME........
And Dice... you're just as guilty for getting partnered up with EA in the first place. You seemingly didn't care.
Its not like EA had a glowing rep back in 2006.... You can burn with them for all I care.
So now Dice say they wanna remove the micro-transactions ...temporarily.
You know why they did that? Not just because the gamer community freaked the hell out. No. because EA was afraid more people would refund the garbage they call a game.
So whats the plan now? isn't it obvious? They will remove it, then have ordinary people buy it... and earn their money back. And once some time has passed... and we're no longer focusing on BF 2 EA... they'll add them ALL RIGHT BACK IN AGAIN... and let the whales pay thousands upon thousands of dollars, ultimately ruining the game entirely when they suspect the heat is gone.
So what should you do, dear reader? You should vote with your wallet.
Do you like buying and playing a game where the richest person has everything and will get everything far faster than others? Then THIS IS YOUR GAME, pal.
But if you don't... and want a fair game where effort and skill unlocks stuff then you will not enjoy this. By the way, it don't matter how good you do in matches. The MLG gets the same points as the afking newb. Playing well is pointless.
Don't be fooled by this. Don't buy into EA's lies. Don't trust Dice's lies. They want your money. They don't give two sh$ts about you. Nor do the shareholders. John Riccitello pretty much proved that.
Vote with your wallet. But be warned. If you buy this game... you tell the shareholders its okay to pull this crap. And future games will do the same.
This is the year of the god forsaken loot-box. Its not remotely okay with me. But what about you, dear reader?
Vote with your wallet. Screw you, EA, for being so INSANELY anti- consumer and congratulations on soon earning your Worst Company award for a 3rd time.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is the new EA game that comes with more Heroes, new weapons, new time lines, all new ships and vehicles, and a CAMPAIGN! Now all of this sounds like something a Star Wars game needs, there's no way it could be bad right......RIGHT!? Well i hate to be the one to say it, but this game is not all that great as i hoped it would be.
The good things about this game is that is went straight back to it's roots. They looked at Battlefront 2 (2005) and tried to make a game outta that concept so i was glad to hear that we were getting an updated version of one of my favorite games growing up as a child. Also its something to expect from modern day video games, but the game just looks beautiful. The work on the maps and characters are just astounding. The Gameplay is also a lot smoother. In the first Battlefront (2015) it was so hard to control a ship because the controls were just messy. But this game improves on it dramatically.
But sadly here is some negatives and things that truly annoyed me to the core about this game. First of all the campaign. You know how we were to believe that the story is told through the Empire's perspective? Well not even half way through the campaign, and the our main character Iden Versio, switches sides for a completely stupid reason! I mean she knows that the Empire does bad things right!? And why would the Empire ever attack one of planets that supports them!? Why not destroy a republic planet? You could show your strength a better way doing that.
I haven't even gotten to the things that annoy me the most about this game yet. So EA had us hooked when they said we didn't have to pay for maps and future content. But little did we know that BattleFront 2 would be a PAY TO WIN GAME! Yep the game is based on whoever has the most money, can unlock the most weapons, heroes, etc and win a match. Also LOOT CRATES! I even read somewhere if you want to get every item in the game, you have to spend a total of $2,100 or just slowly unlock all of it through hundreds of hours of game play.
Welp in the end even though i hated on Battlefront 2 a lot, it still is an improvement from Battlefront (2015). This game would be good if EA didn't use their Cash Grab system. This game could be an 8/10 (i can forget about the campaign) but sadly the only thing holding this game back, is the company and its creators themselves. Right when we thought EA could change, they somehow manage to create another money flowing system. All in all, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is a Below-Average game that i feel was just created to get more cash into EA's wallets. I pray to god that EA does not make another Star Wars game, they are only hurting the community and their company.
