A corrupt police officer faces challenges from his family, gangsters and politicians.
Chulbul Pandey lives in Lalgunj, Uttar Pradesh, with his mother, Naini; step-father, Prajapati; and half-brother, Makhanchan. Abused by Prajapati, he refuses to have to do anything with him and instead becomes the town's most corrupt police inspector. After the sudden passing of his mother, he is a little shocked when he finds out that Makhanchan is getting married to Ghatyal Master's daughter, Nirmala. Instead of opposing this marriage, he hastily proposes to gorgeous Rajjo, the daughter of the town drunk, Haria, attends the wedding uninvited, has the priest marry them first, and a furious Ghatyal cancels Makhanchan's wedding. After the marriage, the couple travel to Dubai for their honeymoon, and experience the city's new Metro as well as go on a Desert Safari. After their return, Chulbul will be pitted against an aspiring politician, Chedi Singh, who has now joined forces with the humiliated Makhanchan, who blames Chulbul for burning their business down and for his father's illness - and the duo and their goons will go to any lengths to ensure Chulbul's demise once and for all.
I feel, this is what cinema all about. film is an epic.Went to watch the paid preview because its an action film.I feel Movies are made so that audience can be entertained, Dabangg does that! After the movie,u will smile and leave the auditorium happily.This movie is worth your penny.SALman is outstanding,He did justice to the Role of chulbul pandey,Hats off!Sonakshi is OK. HER expressions and acting skills r very good. Anupam kher is a fantastic.Dimple kapadia is Superb.Arbaaz,he is a good,but he has a Extended Cameo only.Vinod Khanna is A grade in his 'grey shade' role.Sonu sood as the main villain is fantastic, But, but, The show Belongs to "SALMAN KHAN", he is so so Cute and adorable as Chulbul pandey. Salman steals the show.Offcourse the Director ABHINAV KASHYAp,makes an wholesome masala entertainer.Claps for him. LOVED THE FILM. Every stunt and action scene is breath taking,and climax rocks.DO WATCH IT,THIS FILM WILL KEEP YOU THROUGHLY ENTERTAINED.. WORTH YOUR MONEY
It is a movie which is not even worth a watch. Only the item song and dance rocks but because of Malaika Arora Khan. I guess Salman as a actor needs to grow up a lot. The action sequences are okay considering this is a so-called trend in South Indian movies. The storyline is weak. But in most cases they are but could be made enjoyable if the hero can pull it off. But Salman does not belong to that league of actors. Hence a disappointment for me in spite of this media hype. Sonakshi Sinha was okay considering her first appearance but gain does not have much to do. Sonu Sood and Arbaaz Khan i think are good actors but this movie has been made to circle around Salman. Hence they are really wasted. I think Dabangg just joins the league of those horrible masala movies which are not even worth of time-pass.
