Ten years before Sora ever held the Keyblade in his hands, mysterious monsters called "Unversed" attacked the Realm of Light. A prequel to Kingdom Hearts the player plays as three different keyblade wielders. Aqua,Terra, and Ventus each with their own fighting styles and abilities. the player travels to many worlds in the Disney universe and uncover the mysteries that have formed from the three proceeding games.
