Daanish is in the Anti Terrorism Squad and loses his daughter while chasing terrorists down. He decides to avenge the death of his daughter. He meets pandit Omkarnath who himself had lost his wife and daughter and becomes friends with him. 'Wazir' shows the struggle of a father to bring justice to those responsible.
A grief-stricken cop and an amputee grandmaster are brought together by a peculiar twist of fate as part of a wider conspiracy that has darkened their lives.
Do Watch Wazir!!!! Neither i have been paid to say this nor i am a fanatic of any of the actors, who are a part of the movie's cast. I watched wazir today and was moved by the movie in such a way that now i am obligated to speak my mind about it. The movie takes off smoothly like an airplane and picks up a good pace in the early stages, soon the plot changes and gears are shifted as the movie takes several turns, the movie doesn't get slow anywhere, it shows the transitions in a man's life perfectly, who has been the epicenter of a great tragedy, Amitabh sir justifies his role and delivers what's expected of him, on the other hand Farhan fits perfectly in the shoes of the character he has played, plot is intriguing with hints of suspense that grips you slowly as the story progresses, there is a nice twist to the story which has been timed perfectly and justifies the plot. i would like to say that the movie is a good blend of all the flavors that have been put together, in just the right amounts. Songs are a good fit and have been placed well in the movie & i believe, you will leave the theater humming one of the slow songs. I had to write this after watching the movie because i read a review about Wazir, prior to watching it and i find it extremely incorrect and misleading now that i have watched the movie. I thought i should do something about it as it appeared to me another type of corruption driven act. I didn't know where to post this in order to get the word out, that's why i am posting it here, so that at least my friends don't get deprived of watching a good movie over the weekend. Indian CINEMA KI JAI HO!!!! P.s. i am not forcing anyone, remember its just my honest opinion that i have shared with you.
If films like 'Raja Natwarlal', or 'Special 26' do not suspend you to disbelief, or the plausibility of a story/plot matters less to you - WAZIR might be a one time watch for you, otherwise, don't do the idiotic mistake of watching it and wasting both your time and money!
In my view - notwithstanding the fact that there are many good films with very simple story/plot/premise - a film with a fairly sophisticated plot/story has its 'soul' contained in its story/plot. In those films, if that is illogical or not plausible, everything(acting, cinematography, direction, songs) is useless! I give those films one star and not more. And WAZIR is just that kind of film! I really didn't expected this kind of script from Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar to sign that kind of script.
