19 Dec 2017 Aim: To develop the Mini-Manual Ability Classification System (Mini-MACS) and to evaluate the extent to which its ratings are valid and reliable when children younger than 4 years are rated by their parents and therapists. Method: The Mini-MACS was created by making adjustments to the MACS.

The Mini-Manual Ability Classification System (Mini-MACS) is a classification system that describes how children with cerebral palsy (CP) aged 1–4 years use their hands when handling objects in daily activities.
A version of the test for children under the age of four years old, the Mini-MACS, was developed in 2016. It has similar tiers to the MACS, with descriptions that are more relevant for the toddler age group, and has good inter-rater reliability.
