Established in October 2000, Grand Cru is a recognized and widely acclaimed restaurant, Cocktail bar and lounge in Edinburgh. I've been to this bar many times. The high point is that the drinks are cheap. Around ?7 for two spirits & mixer. Happy hour is even cheaper, when you'll get two drinks for a fiver. It's usually fairly lively in early evening with the after work crowd. I'm not sure I'd recommend eating here though as it's not the cleanest. The toilets

Part restaurant with a distinct Italian bent, part cocktail lounge and bar, this stylish, atmospheric venue on Hanover Street on the New Town side of the city has peerless pedigree. Grand Cru oozes charm by night, and cheerful hospitality by day, starting with breakfast and rolling right through to lunch, dinner, DJs and drinks.
OK breakfast, good service. The waitress was very nice, the big breakfast was ok - while little can be done wrong with baked beans and a fried egg, the hash brown was soggy. Good coffee though.
