A warning message might appear, confirm it, and exit regedit . Assuming everything is done right, Adobe Reader can no longer return to it's defaults regarding window placement. Therefore, Adobe Reader will always open maximized, regardless of whatever window you happened to put in any session.
I just got a new computer with Windows 7 at work. Irregardless of the software I am running, anytime I open up a new window, it is automatically opened minimized. How can I get the system to automatic.

I also have a problem when I minimize the window and then later open a new document by double-clicking a PDF file from Windows Explorer. I would have expected Acrobat to restore the window to its previous maximized state. However, I again get the half-size window, which I then have to maximize.

24 Mar 2013 The problem I'm having is that they always open with the other program maximized, regardless of what I change the window style to. The .pdf program I'm using is NitroPDF Pro. Maybe that's the issue. I hope not. Is there a way to open these files minimized with the focus still on my Access form that opened

Opera Next 18 just started opening Adobe reader .pdf files in a tiny minimized window. I can maximize it ok but then I have to press the esc key to get the adobe reader toolbar. Is there a setting or other fix for this? Michael.

I am able to open Adobe files on new Windows 8, but not able to minimise the window in order to work on multiple documents at a time. Please help. I.e. when viewing the PDF i am not able to.
