We bought our first Pure Ion about two years ago; after a year, it failed (wouldn't turn on at all). Brookstone offered an exchange, but since they'd come out with the newer "Advanced" model, we had to pay the $100 difference in price. Now, the Advanced model has failed, a few weeks before its year warranty expired.
