Effects of Yoga on Health and Stress.
Yoga offers an effective method of dealing with stress, anxiety and depression, as well as many studies demonstrating the effectiveness of yoga in mood disorders. Currently, treatment for anxiety and depression involves mainly psychological and pharmacological interventions; however, mind-body interventions are becoming increasingly popular as a way to reduce stress. Yoga, a form of body and mind training, has become a more popular therapy for maintaining wellbeing and alleviating a wide range of health problems and ailments. Yoga significantly decreases heart rate and systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
