Dec 31, 2013 I bought an 85 300TD recently, knowing it had a bad trans and neglected engine. The body is near (or an w124 om606) remove al the wiring, every last bit of it the om603 pump doesnt need any of those anyway, and since you'l go down the manual road, there is no need for transmission controlls either.
Is the 606 tach pickup different than the 603? I am very happy with my manual trans swap but on the 603 and 617. Its not for people who enjoy a smooth ride (dual mass is smoother).
So I saw youtube video of a guy with the diesel om606 motor in it, and after a lot of searching I cannot find a clean cut manual transmission swap. I did see someone on here was trying to swap in a 300zxtt tranny to the mercedes motor, can anyone help or have some insight as to how to go about getting a
6 speed gearbox suitable for om605/606 w460 G wagon conversions, with clutch, flywheel, linkage, starter motor, modified output shaft done the correct way for the 460 props, also I'll include a rear gearbox mount suitable for the adjustable bolt on gearbox crossmember. | eBay!
i wanted to know which other model manual trans fits the m104 engine, as for the donor car , its right here, so do u think i can swap the trans as well cause it is 5 speed and it has the sport mode, would i be The M111, M102, M104, M103, OM603, OM606 engines all have the same bellhousing pattern.
