SIGs use plastic guide rods, too. I don't think anyone accuses them of cutting corners. I have NEVER heard of a plastic guide rod failing.

Despite that, I've never heard of a CZ 75/85,75B/85B being damaged by either the Bedair or factory unit when plastic was replaced with steel in this
