But President Coin seems to have other ideas for Katniss.Katniss Everdeen is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.A pretty long appetizer that is. For its length it doesn't feel dragged or anything, but I still wonder if it was necessary. OK, so character motivation, other people can show off a bit of what they have going for them and the is no Hunger Games going on (it'd be really crazy to do the same movie for a third time, not that people wouldn't watch it though). I only read the first book and I thought that was made in a good fashion (especially considering the narration it had). Not sure how the other two books are built up, but this movie feels like a filler, something to keep you on "hold" until you get served the real deal/meal.
It'll be in a couple of months from now, so let's see how they bring it to an end and if P.S. Hofmann already had done his scene before his premature departure (may he rest in peace). The scenes here seemed to have been shot alright before that. Now: Let's conclude this already!While I was a little worried that the least popular novel (just ask any THG fan) of The Hunger Games would turn out just like the book (let alone that it has been dragged out into two equal parts), but I'm happy to say that it has certainly translated triumphantly from page-to- screen and has actually turned my thoughts around on the final book.
It really steps up the revolutionary and dystopian theme, something which was a little more subtle in previous films. This is no longer the games, as the stakes have been raised to an all time devastating and life-threatening high within the society of the film.
VERDICT: Another powerfully strong and faithful adaption for The Hunger Games series, which this time around adds and improves on its original source material.

Later, it's explained to her that Peeta was "hijacked"—a form of fear conditioning enhanced with tracker venom. Meanwhile, District 13 President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) announces that her covert operation into the Capitol has resulted in the victors being liberated and requests that all the districts of Panem unite against their mutual oppressor.
