Whilst on his way to Elm Street he either had to read the signs, or stop to ask for directions...
Which do you think is more likely?
Personally, I love the idea of Jason only ever speaking when he's lost.

They back into a tree as Jason approaches, his hulking frame casting a shadow over them.

Really, I do. Even with all the crazy people and those who mess around with Rule 34. (Carebears? REALLY? Ew. Just ew. I have never hit the back-button faster in my life.)
