Which do you think is more likely?
Personally, I love the idea of Jason only ever speaking when he's lost.
Dude: Oh shit Mary, run, RUN! Psycho in a hockey mask, RUN! QUICK LET'S SPOUT SOME BAD DIALOGUE THAT CONVEYS FEAR!!
They back into a tree as Jason approaches, his hulking frame casting a shadow over them.
Jason: Hi, sorry. But just where is Elm Street around here? I've been looking for ages but... y'know.

Really, I do. Even with all the crazy people and those who mess around with Rule 34. (Carebears? REALLY? Ew. Just ew. I have never hit the back-button faster in my life.)
