His only clues to his identity are a tattoo of a roman numeral, XIII and a key to a bank deposit box. He is ambushed by hitmen but escapes, and is eventually captured by the FBI. Colonel Amos of the FBI has photographic evidence of the man, now identified as Steve Roland. With the help of a young woman named Major Jones, the man sets out to search for the missing General Carrington. Carrington went missing while conducting his when investigation into the president's murder and may be the man's only hope of uncovering the truth behind his identity. Can the enigmatic Agent XIII discover the evidence needed to expose the truth or will the shadowy conspiracy continue it's plans for America...
I had never heard of the game before I got but it looked cool. It has an awesome plot I think. I love the comic book set up. The variety in guns is good except for a couple of the levels. Yes the game is a little too long, but I think addictive. You never know what will happen next and the plot keeps you guessing.
The multi-player mode reminds me of the good old Golden Eye days. The AI is pretty good , a little too good but that's what makes it good. The only bad thing i think is the limited selection in maps.
I agree with those that say there should be a sequel. 1: because like stated in a previous comment its one of those games that it's not as good 2nd time you play because you know the story, and 2: Come on the way they ended it calls for a sequel. I might be the only one but I think this would make a good plot for a movie too. Maybe Even keep the Characters too. I would definitely recommend this game.
I first read a review for this game in Maximum PC, who seemed to enjoy the game. I decided to buy it, and it was worth the $50 and even more. This game had great gameplay, and a good plot. The only downside in my opinion is that this is the type of game that you play once. It ruins the game to play more than once because you already know the plot. But games where you don't play more than once are also games in which people desire a sequel. This game is one of my personal favorite games, and is actually number 3 on my list, which reads Half-Life 2, Half-Life, and XIII.
