They discover that her execution was intentional, and resolve to find the criminals by themselves.I originally thought this was going to be another "gang wars" type movie but threw caution to the winds & went anyway. Wow ... was I surprised!! As a middle aged woman I absolutely LOVED this flick !! It's a violent love story that will appeal to men & women alike. The violence in the movie is justified & the acting on all parts I thought was superb. I immediately bought the DVD when it came out & have watched it at least 4 times since I bought it home. It taught me not to judge the book by the cover. Take a chance & experience Four Brothers for yourself & you'll find family love is indeed color blind .. as it should be. Guys.. great car chase in snow storm & great shoot outs. Great ride from start to finish.Hey!! Isn't this "The Sons of Katie Elder"? Singleton wanted to give it a "Western feel." I think he did ...never have so many bodies been strewn around an urban area without the hint of a cop or nosy neighbor anywhere....automatic weapons used with impunity and nobody calls the cops? Even in Detroit?? Still, there is a kind of visceral fun to it. You have to admit it's probably the first time a car chase has been staged on an icy street and that is pretty exciting. The acting is uniformly pretty decent and the action sequences are staged well. The plot is just so convoluted and the clichés start to come fast and furious toward the end.It's a finely tuned Motor City engine: The action, including a nighttime car chase through a blinding snowstorm, is fast, brutal and efficient; the Motown soundtrack never cuts out; and as a gangster called Sweet, the British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor gives an electrifying performance....
