Ok I know there are a bunch of threads on IAC differences between the Y7 and Y8's. But I have a Y8 with an auto manifold(So no place for a IAC) with a Y7 Throttle body currently running on a Y7 ECU. I'm wanting to swap my Y8 Manual ecu in my car. But do I have to swap in the Y8 manual manifold?
27 Jul 2008 When i got my car it had a d16y8 pulled from an auto running in a manual.. The intake manifold is automatic and i'm changing it to a manual.. The intake manifold i bought comes with a throttle body as well but has no wires. I know i need the 2 wire IACV.. But i'm wondering if i can use the wires from the auto
20 May 2008 Will a '98 D16Y8 (block and head) from a car that was automatic bolt up directly to a '98 EX with manual tranny? In other words what Everything should be pretty much a direct swap if you're re-using the IM from the car you're swapping it in to. It includes the exhaust and intake manifolds from the auto.

24 Dec 2008 Ive seen quite a few people asking for a list of whats needed to do a 5spd conversion on a 6th Gen Civic. This list If you have a D16Y8 engine w/Vtec, make sure the new ECU you get is for a 5spd Vtec engine. You can get . hey man im interested in doing an auto to manual swap can you help me? :lol: ?.

True, true, but the point Im trying to make is, the car has auto D-series now, she wants to do and AT to MT conversion on the D-series, and then later on wants to do an LS/VTEC, so she will have to buy the D-series manual tranny and needed parts to do that, then throw it all in the corner when she does the
