Two university students come across a seemingly harmless girl named Lucy, unaware that she's actually a mutant serial killer with a split personality.
A teenager girl escapes from a laboratory with the power to dismember people with her multiple invisible arms. On her way out, she gets shot and becomes a double-personality person, half-sweet, half-murderer. On her way, she meets people who have suffered the biggest horrors possible. Together, they will face the evil organization who uses other girls to track the original one.
Absolutely loved this anime. My favorite and by far most engaging anime i have ever watched. At the end i was like no please don't tell me this is it. It would have been amazing if it had continued somehow. Not like the manga because i feel like the manga ending was a bit too um how do you say. i don't know i just don't feel it had the ending that that series deserved. I actually liked the anime ending better. This series was captivating full of emotions and memorable characters. I love the underlying themes this anime had of discrimination, identity, social alienation, prejudice, abuse, regret and the value of humanity. If you are intrigued by any of that and like to see how this anime explores and exposes those themes than id suggest you watch this anime. you will not regret it.
This anime is based on the manga of the same name, created by Lynn Okamoto.
The story revolves around a young girl named Lucy who escapes from her prison because of her disease. She is found naked offshore by Kohta and Yuka. Lucy has lost her memory and gets the name Nyu, because that's the only thing she knows what to say.
Meanwhile, the bad guys in the prison wants to kill Lucy, so they send trained men to find and kill her.
I enjoyed this anime, despite using excessive violence and nudity. The story was good and the animation was done well. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the ending, but overall it was great.
Both the manga and anime is aimed towards adult males. I advise you to watch this anime, you won't be disappointing.8/10
