In the fourth installment of the fighting franchise, Boyka is shooting for the big leagues when an accidental death in the ring makes him question everything he stands for. When he finds out the wife of the man he accidentally killed is in trouble, Boyka offers to fight in a series of impossible battles to free her from a life of servitude.

A fighting film which takes place in Ukraine but all the actors speak English with a Russian accent. The storyline is about a fighter who accidentally kills his opponent in the ring and then the rest of the film is about him trying to get forgiveness from that fighters widow and rescuing her from a mobster. Very boring.
Boyka: Redemption may be the climax of the series, Boyka Undisputed is the resolution. And thus, it is a bit anti climatic. In this installment, Boyka seeks spiritual redemption by fighting to help a widow whose husband he accidentally killed. Of course, he kicks a lot of asses a long the way. Unlike the previous installments, this one focuses on Boyka's personal journey. This thread drives the plot and makes the fight interesting because it raises the stakes. Otherwise, we know Boyka will just mow down his opponents because he can. The fights are well choreographed but lacked the intensity of the previous installments. The final fight was a let down, but it is intriguing to see Boyka feels intimidated for once. I guess the director knew that because unlike the ending of the previous installments, we see Boyka deal with the big wig for once, and his final redemption. The ending scene was great as we see Boyka finally gets his redemption and finally finds his place. With a better writer, director, and more intense fight scenes, this would have been a classic to rival Rocky.
