SG-1 must somehow restore history. When the Stargate team goes to see Ba'al, the last of the System Lords, being extracted from his host. All of a sudden, Tealc, Vala and all of their allies start to vanish. Later Carter, Daniel, and Mitchell try to escape through the Stargate but find themselves not on earth but on a ship trapped beneath the polar ice cap. They learn they are on the freighter that was delivering the Stargate found in Egypt in 1939 to America. The ship is about to sink and they evacuate. They are picked up by a submarine and brought to a Naval Base where they learn the SG project never happened. They try to warn the government that the Gouald might attack earth. But the government doesn't believe and tells them that they're being released and given new identities and not to talk to each other or about their previous alternate timeline . One year later, the Gouald attack and the government asks for their help. And I thought 'Dude Where's my Car' was bad. The first 30 minutes is music and one paragraph of talking. How in the hell did HBO put this on. 2nd worst movie ever. Please tell Jeff Bridges not to put a gun to his head and squeeze off, from his brother performance. MacGyver is in it too. Same smug character, It doesn't even relate to the series. Tapper's performance is OK. That's it. Ben Browder acting again is sub-par. I do like the fact that Hollywood has a sense of humor. This is a example to college students on how not to make a movie. Basicially this is what happens: Before his execution, one of Ba'als clones go back in time and sinks the boat that carried the Stargate to USA in 1939. Time thereby is changed and the team has to fix it, but is stopped by an alternate version of they're friends/colleagues who wants too keep everything the way it is. Meanwhile Ba'al has become supreme lord of the Goa'uld and plans to conquer earth. The movie is funny and entertaining, but like the majority of time travel films, it neither makes much sense and nothing of the story's events have actually ever happened when they "fix" everything in the end of the film. So it really is just a funny way to waste time. I'm a big fan of Stargate SG-1, but the film was very predictable and reminded me of a "back to the future" film. But I love the characters and the acting is great, so I still give it an 7.
