The adventures of teenager Max McGrath and his alien companion, Steel, who must harness and combine their tremendous new powers to evolve into the turbo-charged superhero Max Steel.
When teenage Max McGrath discovers his body can generate the universe's most powerful energy, he must bond with the only being able to contain it - a mysterious techno-organic extraterrestrial named Steel. United as the superhero Max Steel, the two friends must combat an alien menace and unlock the secrets of their past.
Of course Cliché and predictability have always be a part of story- telling, but when I get that Déjà vu feeling at every scene and can pretty much predict some of the words before they are spoken, that tells me that the writers didn't overly exert themselves... What part of this movie haven't we seen before? Boy moves to a new area, finds new friends, falls in love, discovers new powers, needs to learn to harness them. Old scientist looking to better/save the world, while partner is corrupt and secretly undermining him. Boy looking for the father he's never known, trying to step into his shoes, figuring out who the bad guy is, avenge his fathers death... And so on and so forth... Spiderman, Superman, you name it. We've seen it all before.
I gave the movie a five only because of the visual effects.
Utterly awful and one of all times horrible movie. A complete waste of time with some horrible acting, script, direction and editing. The movie is missing on the very basics regarding the origin of all the characters. It doesn't show regarding any back ground and keep the audience confused as what the hell and why the hell. There is not a single element in the movie which one gets any audience for slightest of attention. The super hero in the movie tends to forget that he is having some super powers. The movie starts with a disaster and all of sudden everything starts to happening. Don't deserve any rating. IMDb should start negative points as well so i can give this movie a minus 10.
From its thinly sketched teen protagonist to its deluge of hero-will-rise clichés, Max Steel evinces all of the imagination and ambition you’d expect from a movie based on a bestselling line of action figures.
