After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the Yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover.
After losing the love of his life, 4th wall-breaking mercenary Wade Wilson aka Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) must protect Russel (Julian Dennison) must assemble a team of mutants and protect Russel from Cable (Josh Brolin), a no-nonsense, dangerous cyborg from the future and Deadpool must learn the most important lesson of all, to be part of a family again.
This movie is awesome! I enjoyed it , the ending wasn't the best however, I like this ending better than how the first movie ended
I saw this movie with the expectation it wouldn't be as good as the first and it was a correct gut feeling.
I felt more anger towards the guy who killed Vanessa than anyone else in the film. I really wanted to feel the satisfaction of DP hunting him down and killing him but it didn't go that way. I felt like Cable could have been expanded on. His character starts great and the mystery makes him interesting but then he teams up with DP and jumps to the other end of the spectrum with still no real explanation of what he's about.
I had zero sympathy for Firefist from start to finish. The character was really impossible to warm to and watching the film I couldn't really care less if he survived or not.
I'm actually glad that the team DP creates all get killed off bar Domino because it made it humourous and after all it's not an X-Men film, we're here to watch DP.
I don't really understand what Juggernaut brought to the film other than an easy tick in the box approval exercise for fans.
Overall, DP was outrageously funny, some of the gags fell short, some characters could have been expanded on but the story was definitely weak compared to the first film.
With its uncompromising commitment to gross-out injuries, nerdy pop culture in-jokes and inappropriate touching, Deadpool 2 was clearly made to cater to existing fans with every innuendo-filled moment (they should stay through the credits for some important story points that are very nearly thrown away).
