As the subject line says The wireless foot pedal does not work well in the back of the boat. (range issue) I purchased the new trolling motor so I could offer the prime fishing spot to my fishing guests. My wireless key fob works slightly better in back. I had the motor and pedal checked at my local Motorguide service center.
I have the W55 wireless and it stopped turning. It runs and speed controls work it just won't turn. It's no longer under warranty and was on dieting if anyone lose had this problem? Also any recommendations on where to get it serviced? I really don't want leave it somewhere for an extended period of time.

29 Jul 2015 I bought a used Bayliner that came with a Motorguide W45, wireless 45 pound thrust electric trolling motor. The main problem I had with this motor is that it would quit suddenly after increasing speed. Usually just above half speed, even for a short time, would cause the motor to quit completely. 19 Jun 2014 so my awesome used boat has yet another issue. After repairing my kicker motor for $600.00.now my bow mount motor quit turning left/right. Any idea what I can do to fix this? It WAS working finemotor still runsbut in the middle ofthe river it stopped turning with either the foot pedal or the remote.
1 Sep 2014 I have a Motorguide wireless Trolling motor mounted on a 2009 Bayliner 185 fish & ski and it runs but won't turn left or right. I can hear the motor come on and try to turn it but shaft never moves. Any Idea what could be the problem? I also might mention that it has been sitting in direct sunlight for quite awhile
