It is a pity that you want to get an auto, as the MX-5 manual transmission is a delight – quick, short, precise throws that make it a real pleasure to drive. Still, even as an auto, the MX-5 is a nice car. The NC is still fairly light, it handles very well, and it has that low-to-the-ground, wind-in-the-hair feel that helps
