See real-world BMW 3-Series transmission problems and repair histories as reported by other BMW 3-Series owners. Also, see repair breakdown by 10000 mi, Auto trans would not shift correctly about 25 percent of time but only when in manual mode and only when upshifting 2nd to 3rd. Entire transmission replaced.
After driving a manual BMW, and again being left utterly disappointed with the gear shift, I think it's about time we called on BMW to make a manual worthy of The problem is, shifting gears in a manual BMW is not particularly satisfying, and is the one aspect of the driving experience that lets down the package as a whole.
320d Manual gearbox problem doesn't going in to 1st. I will most probably have to open and sort it or I will just have to get other gearbox. when i had my box rebuilt last time the place i took it to was the place that bmw/mercedes and other companies locally send all their boxes too anyway as well.

I have a manual transmission 2006 325i and I noticed that after the car sits idling in neutral it is then hard to put it in any gear. After it goes in one of the gears, then there are no more issues and all the gears go in nice and smooth. If I then leave it idling for a while the problem appears again. Has anyone
