Welcome to Chandra Yoga International School for yoga TTC in Rishikesh, India.
Last time we tell you about our first aspect of yoga practice i.e. Body.
Today we discuss our second aspect of yoga practice Breath.
BREATH- Yoga breathing exercise called Pranayama. The breath and mind are very tightly connected, so by working on breath you can change your mental states and vice-versa. It is also much easier to clam your breath than to clam your mind, because the mind is rather subtle and volatile. So breath work is a powerful tool for physical health, emotional wellbeing and meditation.
From a secular point of view, the aim of Pranayama is to oxygenate the blood, regulate your emotional, clam down the nervous system and strengthen your rational brain.
From a spiritual point of view, the goals of Pranayama are to pacify the mind, making it calm, centered and self-examining.
